For 2007-2008 Madshus adds the Nanosonic to its Champion Series racing line with six carbon models, (Classic Cold, Classic Plus, Classic Zero, Skate Regular, Skate HP and Skate SC). All come with the NIS binding system pre-mounted. At 40g lighter per pair, the Nanosonic is more forgiving and has a higher degree of dampening.

The Hypersonic has a new core construction but comes back at a little lower cost in two skating and one classic configuration. There is also a full line of Junior race skis from the Nanosonic Carbon Classic and Skate Jr. through Athena and Hyper Jr.
In its 2007-2008 boot line-up, starting at the Champion Series level, the Hyper and Athena get slight changes with a new cuff pivot in the Skate and Universal with an insert and cuff rivet. The Race Performance Series now comes with standard lacing.
The completely new, Nordic-X/Touring line offers 11 new models extending Madshus' high-performance features further into the recreational touring line. Hinged cuffs, power straps, reinforced lastboards and reinforced heel counters are important features on the NX20 men's and women’s, while the NX12 offer a stitched cuff and reinforced outsoles, and the more classic-oriented NX6 boots a supportive upper. Both the men's and women's NX20, NX12 and NX6 come with the race-level lace cover. The NX2 men's and women's offers classic performance at a good value for new skiers.

Madshus continues to offer an entire line of boots for first-time skiers all the way through junior racers. The Hyper JRR and Athena JRR are true race boots with fronts that flex for smaller feet, full cuffs with flex notches and speed lacing for ease of use. The Hot Rod and Butterfly equal the mid-performance of the NX series, with graphics that match the Hot Rod and Butterfly junior skis. The Snow Raider is a no-lace boot for first-time skiers.

Madshus poles.

Madshus introduces 13 new poles to the U.S. in 2007-2008. The introduction of a high-quality line of poles rounds out Madshus’ package of skis, boots and bindings. The Champion Series pole, the Carbon 100HM, had an impressive debut, winning its inaugural cross country World Cup race.
The Carbon HM uses the Madshus Power handle with a slight angle to the hand position for stronger forward propulsion and has an incredibly light swing weight. The cork of the handle goes higher for more cork feel in hand, and the top section narrows significantly for a comfortable feel.
The Carbon 100HS pole uses a straighter handle, but with the same added cork up high and narrow upper handle. Both use Madshus' new WC contour race strap, which is 3D-molded for secure hold of the hand where it locks for more strength. Both Carbon 100 poles use the Aero basket and a narrow tungsten carbide tip.
In the Race Performance Series poles, the Carbon Race 70 features a 70 percent carbon and 30 percent fiberglass shaft, 3D-molded strap and a larger basket. Similar performance can be had in the Carbon Race 40 and 40W but at increased value (lower price). The durability of high-strength aluminum with more touring-oriented baskets and straps are found in the NX A7000, NX A6000 and Mountain, companion poles to the Nordic-X and Touring series skis. The Carbon Race Jr, NX A7000 Jr, NX A6000 and Kid’s Glass poles complement Madshus’ entire range of junior skis and boots.
