The 2009 Yellowstone Ski Festival kicks off on Tuesday, November 24. Hundreds of skiers have already arrived in West Yellowstone and are making their first tracks on the Rendezvous Ski Trails. There are a fresh four inches of snow on the ground, bringing our total on the trails to a foot according to the Montana Snotel site.

Late registration is still available for the races and clinics. Register online before 5pm MST on Tuesday to enter any or all of the three SuperTour events and two biathlon races. The race secretary will be on hand at the Holiday Inn Snow Desk on Tuesday from 3-5pm to assist with late registrations. There is plenty of time to register for the Nordic clinics. Stop by the Holiday Inn conference area tonight from 7-8pm or Wednesday from 7-9pm for a last minute inclusion to the 5,3,&1-day clinics. Due to popular demand, another one day, classic ski clinic will be offered on Thursday. Register in person at either of the previously listed times.

There's a great line-up of events at the 2009 Yellowstone Ski Festival. All of the details for this week’s events can be found at www.yellowstoneskifestival.com/schedule/
