Alpina Boots
The Elite Skate and Elite Classic elite-level boots are derivative of a roller ski boot and based on research among many different types of athletic footwear. New materials and assembly reduces the weight of the elite skate by 8 percent and the classic by 18 percent. The boots include a waterproof seamless covering and asymmetrical pivot point on the cuff.
TCS Race Performance boot is now more anatomically formed, but it still has posi-fit in the back that is adjusted with a hex wrench. It’s a little roomier in toe box and, to add flexibility, some material has been removed along the ankle. The cuff is higher so the power cuff does not push in the zipper.
RS has a Velcro strap for posi-fit and sports new cosmetics.
The RJ junior boot, regarded as a good combi boot, comes in sizes up to size 42.
The Eve 40, 30, 20 line (sport line boots with new women’s cosmetics) has been expanded. All have a women’s last with a slightly lower volume.
BC 1560 — The totally new 1560 is designed to fill a gap between Alpina’s BC 1550 and the much-beefier 2050. The 1560 features a lightweight, waterproof deep-moss-green nylon upper, matched up with an asymmetrically-designed full-flexing plastic cuff and integrated plastic heel counter.

Exel
The former top-of-the-line Black Feather has been phased out. Replacing it are the World Cup and World Cup Junior. The construction consists of one continuous winding of carbon fiber from tip to top for greater strength. Components are available separately or in a kit.

Peltonen
Peltonen is back, now under the Alpina Sports umbrella.
Familiar names return: Supra skate, Infra classic, as well as the new Supra LW (lightweight) and Infra LW that are not only shorter, but actually built for the smaller skier’s weight.
Other models include: Zenith – classic & skate; Acadia – entry level waxable, and Astra – combi.
