The World Cup Carbon boot has a new narrow last and new heel counter system. This overall narrower boot is extremely light.
The new Race Carbon has a wider forefoot, but otherwise is the same as the WC.
The new BOA lacing system on the BOA Skate/Classic uses a ratcheted cable system to envelop the foot and drive it back into the heel pocket.
The Sport Pro Skate has a new design and new fabric with a two-part Pilot sole, a new internal heel counter, “indi-fit” heel control strap and a higher liner.
The Sport Series has a sole that is not as rigid nor as high-tech. The two-piece sole still has good rigidity and torsional stiffness. It uses a Velcro ankle closure instead of a buckle and comes in two new colors. There is also a Sport Pursuit model. The women’s version, Aina Pro Skate, has a narrower last and the Women’s Support System with a higher heel to move the skier’s weight forward and over the ski.
All of Atomic’s traditional boots have been redesigned with a lacing system integrated into a heel strap to help keep the heel in touch with the heel pocket at all times.
The XCruise (formerly the Fitness boot line) has a dual-lace system. Alea 60, the women’s version of the XCruise 60, employs the Women’s Support System. XCruise 30 and Alea 30 are the only boots in this category with the Profil binding system -- all the rest use Pilot Touring.
Mover (formerly Motion) is a more-traditional-look boot that has a redesigned heel pocket, new material and is much better fitting. The Mover 20 uses the Profil system. The Mover 10 has a beefier heel counter and a more anatomically designed last and, as a result, is much better fitting.
The Junior Skate and Classic are based on the Sport line, only downsized.

All performance skis are 11 percent lighters, thanks to a new treatment in the Nomex core, called rapid core technology. An added aluminized layer runs through the ski to transfer weight out to the edges. The camber is a bit lower and gives a quicker response on push-off.
The cold ski now has a fine grind (formerly universal) and has long pressure contact points in the rear and front. It is also two centimeters shorter, with a slightly flatter tip that is tapered to about 39 mm, to provide more contact area. The warm version has a coarser grind and shorter contact point.
The Race Skate uses Power Cell – a section of Nomex core material inserted in the middle and enveloped by high density densolite.
The Vasa ski has Nexel, an even larger Nomex insert and the same base as the top-of-the-line World Cup. Also available with G2 no wax base.
The Team Skate (formerly Pro Race Skate) is also lighter and now has speed cell, a lighter acrylic material enveloped by densolite. Aina Skate is the women’s version and is available in smaller sizes.
The Pro Skate entry-level skate and combi continues the “lighter” theme by using ultra-high densolite in the core.
X Cruise fitness skis have more shape in the topsheet for more torsional rigidity. The 48 & 50 have an aluminum laminate. It has a conventional hourglass shape, versus double hourglass. The women’s version has a slightly more forward wax pocket, softer flex and the balance point is a bit more forward.
In the backcountry category, the Mountain’s kick zone has no metal edge, allowing a negative cut base. The Sierra and Rainier are back in the line with a new positive base. They now have an acrylic core, are much lighter and have more profile in top cap for torsion. The Sierra is double camber; the Rainier about one-and-a-half camber.
