Salomon

Salomon’s BC skis are all new. XADV 59, 69 & 89 Grip. The model number corresponds to tip width. All have densolite and a wood core, positive-cut base and lower camber. The 59 has a 1-0-1 steel edge (the metal edge is only on the gliding zone of the ski), G2 Grip & Glide and heel-toe camber; the 69 and 89 have Grip & turn camber, full length steel edge and Posi-grip base.

Equipe 9 Vitane Skate has a women’s specific camber, is slightly softer and engineered for women’s mechanics, with the same Zeolite 5 base and Nomex 3000 core as the Elite 9.

The Elite 8 Classic is a metal-edge, in-track ski. The edge is on the tip and tail and not under foot for better edging and control when snowplowing, while not affecting kick, making it a very stable for an intermediate-to-aspiring-advanced skier.

The Pro-Combi Pilot has been updated with a new easier-to-remove skating cuff. It has a classic flex sole, but still has adequate torsion for skating. It also has a new Quicklace system.

The Vitane Carbon Classic features technologies from the RC Carbon boot with a woman-specific last.

The Vitane 8 now has a true woman’s fit. Active 8 now has the Supportive Energyzer cuff.

The Escape 5 and 7 are the only boots that still come with a Profil sole.

The BC boots are designed to mate with a corresponding ski: X-ADV8 with 89, X-ADV6 with 69 and X-ADV5 with 59. X-ADV 8 has the Energyzer cuff, similar to Pro Combi, and Quicklace system, welded (seamless) exterior and waterproof lower. X-ADV 6 has a rubber lugged outsole making it a good walking boot, as well as a semi-gaiter and new cuff.
