Studebaker and Johnson Cap 2010-2011 IBU World Cup Season With a Solid Finish in Mass Start

With two women in today's mass start, it was a successful end to the 2010-2011 IBU World Cup season for U.S. Biathlon. Finishing 22nd and 27th, respectively, Sara Studebaker (Boise, ID) and Haley Johnson (Lake Placid, N.Y.) put a solid end to a great season for the U.S. women's team.

"It was fun racing here although we were a bit tired. It was a nice way to end this winter", said Studebaker after her race that she finished with just one miss in the final standing stage, posting a time of 39:07.1, 2:54.1 minutes back from today's winner Darva Domracheva (BLR) at 36:13, with three misses. Johnson also had three misses, but finished her first mass start with a solid 27th ranking at 39:36.5 minutes.

With little time to celebrate their success, Studebaker and Johnson headed to the airport to travel back to the U.S. "We at least have time for a shower, so that's okay," joked Johnson.
